The club is composed of strong women who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to service. Its objective is to bring together and equip women in promoting educational, social and civic progress. The Executive Committee consists of six elected officers who together with the Immediate Past President and five appointed department chairs make up the Board of Directors. Four standing committee chairs attend to the internal needs of the club while every member serves on either a department or committee. Monthly business meetings are held August through May on the second Thursday of every month. Membership is open by application to residents of the Grand Strand and its contiguous areas.

President - Gretchen Giel Abney
Presides at all meetings, appoints all committees, calls special meetings of the Executive Committee and/or the Club and prepares a condensed, written report of the Club's work for the year. |

Vice President - Linda Moustakis
Serves as President-Elect, assumes the responsibilities of the President in her absence, is Logistics Chair for all Club meetings and conducts both the Annual Allocations Meeting and the annual Provisional orientation. |

Recording Secretary - Donna Welsh
Authenticates all acts and orders of the Club in the absence of the President and the Vice-President, calls for written, monthly reports from the Officers and Directors, calls the roll and from the roll prepares an annual written report of the membership's status, as well as manages, and has custody of, the Club's permanent records. |

Corresponding Secretary - Judy White
Serves as Recording Secretary in the absence of same, conducts the general internal and external correspondence of the Club including matters of member absenteeism and all prospective member business, reads all letters to the membership and has custody of same. |

Treasurer - Joan Chartier
Receives all Club funds and deposits same into Club accounts as directed by the Executive Committee, collects all membership dues, keeps accurate accountings of all disbursements and receipts and is responsible for all correspondence with the S.C. Secretary of State as well as tax and or accounting firms working with the Club. |

Project Coordinator - Gail Ward
Creates and chairs the primary, annual fund raiser or appoints a chair for same, serves on all financial committees including the Ways & Means Department and furnishes the club with projects throughout the year which may or may not be income producing. |

Immediate Past President - Sharlene Zwing
Serves as Club Parliamentarian and Chairs the Nominating Committee which is appointed by the President each February. |

Department Chairs:
Communications -
Conducts the business of attracting public attention to the Club through notifying the media of newsworthy Club activities and/or events as well as keeping the web site current.
Conservation - Sarah Nelson
Manages Gardens by the Sea, the Myrtle Beach Woman's Club and the City of Myrtle Beach's oceanfront park, and all other pertinent projects as adopted by the Club which supports a green platform.
Education - Gail Ward
Administers all recurring scholarships as well as all such scholastic programs underwritten by the Club in any given year.
Community Affairs - Linda Albrecht
Informs and involves the Club of outside projects, programs and events of interest in way of possible participation and/or attendance as a group.
Ways & Means - Cindy Howe
Creates methods for raising revenue to support the Club's purpose of promoting progress within the community.
